Yesterday I ran (okay there was a touch of power walking) 8.4km as part of the Brooks Spring into Shape Series. It was a long 8.4km both physically and mentally. My calfs and I just wouldn't get along and then my knees decided they would join the party. It was also a lap race and I needed to complete two laps.. between you and me, I would have quite happily called it quits then because knowing I needed to run another lap wasn't working for me. But I didn't. I kept on jogging and I finished and I completed my first officially fun run!
We celebrated with awesome burgers and I stupidly thought I might like to do this.
